The poster design will be folded down and on the back of the leaflet. The leaflet has 8 sections; 7 places to visit and a map showing where they are.

Lan Kwai Fong is Hong Kongs premiere dining and entertainment destination. This world renowned district is home to over 100 restaurants and bars. Symphony of lights...

I thought the best place to start was to decide on a vibrant and exciting poster design to catch the eyes of anyone browsing leaflets in Hong Kong. What could be more eye-catching than the Symphony of Light show every night on the harbour?

This spectacular multimedia display, already named the 'World's Largest Permanent Light and Sound Show' by Guinness World Records, has been further expanded to include more than 40 buildings on both sides of Victoria Harbour. The show creates an all-round vision of coloured lights, laser beams and searchlights performing a stunning, unforgettable spectacle synchronised to music and narration that celebrates the energy, spirit and diversity of Hong Kong.

There are five main themes — Awakening, Energy, Heritage, Partnership and the finale, Celebration.

A symphony of Light is for free public enjoyment.

Using a tourist guide to Hong Kong, I started my research into the hotspots. I want to focus my energies towards HK at night. I feel this will give me more focus when researching possible places to suggest.

Leaflet research

My next project is to produce a leaflet/poster design on 7 'must-sees' in Hong Kong. I started this with research into the layout and design of exsisting leaflets. With a quick trip to a museum I was able to pick up a number of very useful leaflets to help me with my research.

The year of the rabbit starts this Friday!
